Service access and accounts

Browsing the directory is generally available without an account. A confirmed account is required to submit or manage a business and to post a review. Certain features may be changed, suspended or limited to eligible users.

• You must provide accurate, current and complete information.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity in your account.
• You must promptly notify us of unauthorized access.
• A person submitting a business must have the necessary authority to act on its behalf.

Business listings, verification and moderation

All new listings and significant changes may be reviewed before publication. BizzNoir may request corrections, proof of identity, proof of your relationship with the business or other information reasonably needed for verification.

The “Verified” badge means BizzNoir completed its administrative checks at the time of the decision. It is not a professional certification or a guarantee of quality, solvency, ongoing legal compliance or results.

The owner remains responsible for the accuracy, authorizations, licences, prices, services, images, links and all other published information. The listing must be updated when information becomes inaccurate.

Reviews, reports and submitted content

A user may post one review per business. The review must describe a genuine experience, be relevant and respectful, and follow the moderation rules. BizzNoir may reject, hide or remove misleading, repetitive, promotional, hateful, threatening, defamatory or illegal content, or content containing unnecessary personal information.

A report triggers a review; it does not guarantee automatic removal. BizzNoir may request clarification from those involved and take the action it considers reasonable based on available information.

Your rights in your content

You retain the rights you hold in your text, logos and photos. You grant BizzNoir a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission limited to operating and promoting the directory to host, reproduce, resize, translate, moderate, display and distribute that content. This permission ends when the content is deleted, subject to backups, legal obligations and previously shared publications.

You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit the content and that it does not infringe another person’s rights.

Prohibited uses

You must not:

• Create a false identity, impersonate a business or knowingly submit misleading information.
• Upload a virus, dangerous file, prohibited violent or sexual content, or attempt to bypass security controls.
• Harass, threaten, discriminate or publish another person’s personal information without permission.
• Scrape data at scale, use unauthorized bots, overload the service or attempt to access an account or administrative area.
• Use BizzNoir for fraudulent, illegal or infringing activity or activity that violates another person’s rights.

External links, assistant and automated services

Listings may contain links to websites, social networks or services operated by third parties. BizzNoir does not operate these services and is not responsible for their content, availability, security or practices. Always check the address and third-party terms before providing information or completing a transaction.

BizzNoir Assistant, automatic translations and security analyses help with navigation and moderation. They may be incomplete, unavailable or wrong. They do not replace human review or legal, medical, financial or professional advice.

Availability, warranties and liability

BizzNoir is a directory and discovery intermediary. BizzNoir is not a party to contracts, purchases, appointments or disputes between users and businesses. Each person must conduct their own checks before hiring a service.

The service is provided subject to availability. To the extent permitted by law, BizzNoir does not guarantee that the site will always be accessible or error-free, or that all published information will remain accurate. Nothing in these terms limits a right or remedy that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protection rules.

Suspension, deletion and termination

BizzNoir may limit, suspend or close an account, remove a listing or reject content in the event of a violation, security risk, legal request, extended inactivity or when reasonably necessary to protect the platform or community. Where circumstances allow, notice or an opportunity to correct the issue will be provided.

You may stop using the service and request deletion of your account or businesses from your account area. A 30-day recovery period applies to confirmed deletion requests before scheduled erasure.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the applicable laws of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Any dispute will be submitted to the courts of competent jurisdiction in Québec, subject to applicable mandatory rights.

Changes

BizzNoir may update these terms to reflect a new feature, practice or legal requirement. The update date will be shown at the top of the page. A significant change may be accompanied by additional notice.
